International Workshop

Change, Institutions, and Identities in Rural India

Aim of the workshop

The aim of the workshop is to develop a scientific dialogue between Italian and Bengali researchers working on rural India with different approaches and methodologies. The subject of the workshop is rural India. Within this broad context, presentations will take into account various specific issues, such as, the nature of social production relations, the spreading of social movements, the construction of cultural identities, the interaction between society and public institutions.
