The Doctoral School in Architectural Sciences groups four PhD programs within "Sapienza" University of Rome, held in Faculties, Centers and Departments of the Atheneum of Space and Society (Adesso). The PhD programs are:

  • Architecture and Construction - Space and Society, active in the Ar_Cos - Achitecture and Construction Department since 2004;
  • Retraining and Recovery of Urban Heritage, in the Faculty of Architecture "Valle Giulia" since 2001;
  • Energy Saving and Distributed Microgeneration, in the Citera Research Center since 2006;
  • Space and Furnishing Design, in the Ar_Cos - Architecture and Construction Department since 2008.

About Valle Giulia

 

The Faculty of Architecture "Valle Giulia", the first to be founded in Italy in 1920, has inherited the tradition of the Higher School of Architecture, based on the unification of the teaching of building, restoration, and urban planning. It has a diverse and rich faculty, with relevant personalities in several scientific fields. The large student body contributes to a vibrant environment, with a large number of cultural activities, such as in no other Italian architecture school.
