Introduction
The Master in Headache Medicine has been activated this year for its 9th cycle. The joint educational project with Lifting The Burden –The Global Campaign against Headache and the European Headache Federation continues to produce positive sinergies.
The Faculty selection has followed parameters of excellence at international level. A warm thanks goes from the students to all the professors who, in these years, have contributed to the success of this Master.
The Master’s architecture is unchanged: the educational offer includes frontal lectures, seminar activities, discussion of clinical cases and attendance at both the outpatient and day-hospital units of the Regional Referral Headache Centre of Sapienza University. Master’s dissertations worthy of attention will be considered for a possible publication.
Mid-term evaluations are facilitated by audiovisual supports and multiple testing available on the distance learning platform Moodle.
A reduction of required credits, and therefore attendance, is provided for students who choose the distance learning program: such students have access to a 25% reduction of the credits necessary in order to take the final exam and discuss the thesis.
A virtual library on The Journal of Headache and Pain and clinical tutorship facilitate the translation of knowledge in professional skills, leading students towards a complete decisional independence.
Former students will be able to attend, as consuetude, the frontal lectures free of charge in order to maintain their standard of excellence.
