It has been brought to my attention that the SWIFT code initially given for the bank transfer was incorrect. We have now updated the Registration and Payment section of the website, evidencing the correct SWIFT code. There you can download a correct version of the Registration Form and you can also find more information about the ESSCAP’08 Committee address and the bank address.

Message from the Chairman - 20^th June 2008

Dear all,
I wish to thank everybody who submitted a synopsis for ESSCAP'08. From the number and titles of submissions, it looks like in November we will have a very interesting event!
In any case, for those of you who would still like to submit a paper but need a few days for reviewing their synopsis, the Organizing Committee has decided to extend the submission deadline.
Please note that the new submission deadline is now June 27^th.
Again, I'm looking forward to meeting all of you in Roma!

Dear colleagues and friends,
it is a pleasure and a honour for me to invite you all to the 3^rd European Symposium on Supercapacitors and Applications (ESSCAP’08).
As the past editions in Belfort and Lausanne proved, ESSCAP provides an excellent opportunity to bring together the specialists who work in the field of supercapacitors, to present the current state of the art, and to exchange perspectives on the evolution of the concerned technologies. Properties and performances of supercapacitors are increasingly recognized by the power-engineering community, while component manufacturers and scientists are working hard in the development of innovative devices and in finding new applications for them.

Organized at the University of Roma “La Sapienza”, the ESSCAP symposium will present contributions on materials, technologies, diagnosis, reliability and safety. There will be also papers in the important and associated area of power electronics and converters, together with others describing new applications.

ESSCAP’08 is open for contributions and participations from all over the world and invites all competent and interested people to submit their work and to join the symposium. An exposition is also being planned: interested companies and institutions can contact me directly for more information.
