ECoNA is an interuniversity centre drawing on the expertise of teaching and researching staff from twelve Italian Universities. It is a permanent organization - open to all academic contributions - set up to provide a focus for the study of cognitive processing, in relation to the achievement of theoretical and practical projects.

ECoNA's scientific activities include:

Targeted scientific projects

Scientific divulgation: promotion and organization of international seminars and meetings, publication of articles papers on specialized journals and the promotion of those periodicals of international scope addressing the subject of cognitive processing.

ECoNA provides also a range of Courses and Doctorates such as: The Doctorate of Research in Cognitive Psychology, the Proficiency Course in Cognitive Psychology and Neural Networks (all held at the University of Rome "La Sapienza"), and the Course on Foreign Language Teaching in Childhood, aimed at preparing teachers of foreign languages to tutor in nursery and primary schools.
