Carlo D'Ippoliti
I am permanent research fellow in political economy at the Department of Statistics of "La Sapienza" University of Rome (Italy). I am assistant editor of PSL Quarterly Review and of Moneta e Credito.
My current teaching responsibilities include: adjunct professor of “Economic Policy” (undergraduate) and “Applied Economics” (undergraduate); teaching assistant for the courses of “Introductory Economics” and “Intermediate Economics” (undergraduate), and for the course on “History of Economic, Social and Demographic Doctrines” (undergraduate).
I am or have been co-ordinator or member of several research projects, including: “Study on the discrimination of transgender and transsexual people in Europe”, Sapienza University; “The Evaluation of Economic Research in a Historical Perspective: Comparing Methods and Arguments” COFIN 2005 of the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research; “Improving the European Employment Strategy Evaluation Capacity for Regional Actors”, funded by the DG Employment and Social Affairs, EU Comission. I am currently member of the co-ordinating team of “EGGSI - European Union Expert Group on Gender Equality, Social Inclusion, Health and Long-term care” coordinated by the Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini (Rome) on behalf of the D.G. Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities, Unit A2, European Commission, Brussels. I am responsible for a medium-sized project (120‘000 € grant) financed by the European Social Fund and carried out by the Association “Avvocatura per i diritti LGBT - Rete Lenford” on behalf of UNAR, the National Anti-discrimination Office of the Italian Ministry for Equal Opportunities.
I obtained a joint Ph.D. in Economics from the Universities of Rome "La Sapienza" (dottore di ricerca in scienze economiche, Italy) and "W.F. Goethe" of Frankfurt am Main ("dr. rer. pol. cum laude", Germany).
I have previously been research fellow at LUISS Guido Carli (Rome) and adjunct professor of History of Economic Doctrines at John Cabot University.
