Five-a-side Football Tornament
The five-a-side football team of the “Dipartimento di Informatica” was formed in Spring 2006 in occasion of the first five-a-side football tournament to be organised at the “Sapienza”. The team upheld the honour of the Dipartimento in admirable style, finishing in third place after losing just one game (even if by a rather heavy margin) and this against the team that went on to become champions. From then on the team has played occasional friendly matches against a variety of opponents (e.g. CNR - the Italian National Research Institute, the Bank of Italy etc.) and competed in the second “Sapienza” five-a-side tournament held in summer 2007, improving on the 2006 result by finishing second.
