The Department of Psychology, Sapienza University of Rome, is distinguished by its excellence in research, scientific production and the ability to obtain prestigious national and international grants.

Research laboratories, located inside the main building or at other locations, allow research training activity at different levels (undergraduate students, PhD and post-doctoral students, research fellows).

The areas of study of the department cover a broad spectrum, which ranges from animal and comparative research to social psychology.  This characteristic insures a tight link between the activities of the Department and those of the two faculties of Psychology of “Sapienza” University. Indeed, the Department is part of both the College of Science and Technology and of the Federal College of Humanities, Law and Economics
