Biography
Fabio Celani received his Laurea degree (summa cum laude) in electronic engineering from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, Rome, Italy in 1996, and his M.S. and D.Sc. degrees in systems science and mathematics from Washington University in St. Louis, St. Louis, MO, USA in 1999 and 2003, respectively. He was a research associate at the Center for Ships and Ocean Structures of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway from 2003 to 2005, and at the Department of Computer and System Sciences Antonio Ruberti of Sapienza University of Rome, Rome, Italy, from 2005 to 2010. Since 2010, he is an assistant professor at the Department of Astronautical, Electrical, and Energy Engineering of Sapienza University of Rome, Rome, Italy. He held a visiting position at the Mittag-Leffler Institute,
Djursholm, Sweden in 2003, and he was an adjunct professor at e-Campus University, Novedrate (CO), Italy from 2008 to 2011.
His research interests lie in the field of
control and systems theory and its applications, with emphasis on
nonlinear control, stabilization, output regulation, and applications
to power systems.
He is an associate editor of the International Journal of Automation and Computing, and he is a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Mechatronics and Automation.
