I carried out my research activity mostly in the field of the analytical chemistry of the biological systems, with respect to the development and characterization of several types of sensors and biosensors in particular: i) whole cells biosensors, ii) enzymatic biosensors operating in organic solvents, iii) sensors and biosensors for the determination of free radicals, iv) biosensors based on reconstituted biological membranes incorporating ion channels, neutral carriers or receptors, with the aim to realize innovative systems able to the study of the complex physiological phenomena of stimulus and transmission as well as to the development of highly sensitive and selective analytical devices.

I'm author of 35 scientific papers, 26 long abstracts, more than 130 congress communications.

I'm married since 1997, like cats and enjoys travels, scuba diving and skiing.
